The Norvegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) has extended to 13th November the deadline to propose candidates for the Students at Risk programme, a support mechanism for student human rights defenders (HRDs).
The Students at Risk programme aims to identify students who, due to their human rights activism, are «at risk» of being denied educational rights in their home country – and to provide these students with an opportunity to complete their education in Norway.
The programme is a pilot project financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who has delegated its administration to the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education.
